● Retail Competition
For this year's retail competition we wanted to try something unique.
We will set up a retail booth for 2 hours,
during which competing artists draw students or anyone who wanders up.
Customers will judge the artists on a 5 point scale using the following criteria.
-Did you feel attracted to the samples?
-How was the likeness?
-Do you want to get another caricature?
Only 30 artists can participate, and there will be special prizes for those who compete.

■How to join
Check the retail competition box on the application form
For the actual competition you'll need to bring:
•Customer samples to display for customers
•Your materials to draw with and paper to draw on (any size/medium is fine)
•a sheet or table cloth to protect the table you'll be working on.
・The space you can display your samples would be1200mm×1500mm.
We will prepare the tables, chairs, and board on which to display your samples.
The profits will be donated to the university and help cover mini-con costs.

● The speed/likeness competition
ISCA JAPAN has decided to merge the speed and likeness competitions into to one unique competition.
Artists will draw 4 quick caricatures.
The time allowed will get shorter with each model.
The times will be 3mins - 2mins - 1min- 30 seconds.
Only 30people can join.
Groups of 10 people will draw 4models.
It will be repeated 3 times.
After that, all work will be hung and everyone votes.
It should be exciting to watch even you won't compete.
Let's have fun!
■How to enter
Please check in at the front desk when you arrive at the venue.
Please prepare a marker & a drawing board to hold drawing paper.
We'll provide the paper.
● “The President's Award Challenge”
For this competition the model is president of the University!
He has been so helpful in providing the venue, and even paying some of the prpmotion costs.
Let's say thanks by doing what we do best.
July 4th(Day 1) Drawing time starts at 9:00pm and ends at july(Day 3) 10:00am.
*A There are no restrictions size materials.
The University's Presidebt will come to see the collected at 10:30am.
He will then choose the winner of the Prestigious “President Award”!!

● Outstanding Studio Piece
One the most famous parts of Osaka's culture is comedy, which we call "Owarai".
This will be our theme for the studio competition submissions this year.
The competition is open to all artists.
Submissions will be framed and displayed during the mini-con.
<Submission Guidelines>
- The theme is "COMEDIAN".
- Choose one comedian or comic duo to caricature per piece, in either color or black and white.
- All styles and materials welcome. (limited to 2 art submissions per artist)
Scan your art at 300dpi, Size: A4(210*297mm), JPEG(less than 5MB) and email them to us.
<Deadline>
16th June, 2011
*We have also pushed back the deadline for sumbissions from June 9thto the new deadline which is June 16th! ! We hope this will give everybody a little more time to submit their work, and hopefully get even more submissions!)
If by some chance you can’t come to the convention, you can still participate in the studio competition, just let us know.

<Evaluation>
Every Artist who participates in Osaka mini con will vote on the artwork, and the best three pieces
